This is a formal apology for my previous post. I hate people who cry about stupid things, and that’s precisely what I’ve done.

I had a horizontally impacted third molar extracted yesterday — it was a minor surgical procedure that lasted over an hour. I ended up with six stitches, slight facial swelling (but you have to stare really hard at my face to notice that), and mild discomfort. And I still have three more wisdom teeth that’ll chew up and spit out my entire summer break. Anyway, there’s this science fiction writing workshop that I was supposed to attend in June-July. (Dr. Vandana Singh will be there. Damn, I so wanted to meet her — she’s a theoretical particle physicist and a writer.) I had submitted my best piece to get selected, got in touch with three other participants from Delhi (wonderful people, really), and had linked travel plans, only to be presented with a choice between the SF workshop and my dental health (because my wisdom teeth might start damaging the second molars pretty soon). Nothing very depressing. Not the end of the world. And that’s why I have no idea why I wrote this. Anyway, it’s written now.

Summer research starts this week — and it’s in Delhi so I needn’t give up on it. (Yippee! :) ) Condensed-matter physics, here I come!
No way to meet her without having to take part in the workshop? Cause I’ve never written a piece of sci-fi in my life. :/
Where are you doing research??
Tracking her down shouldn’t be so hard. Do you think so likes stalkers?
Hmm, fascinating. Exactly what will you do, any ideas? Oh, and which project?
Cool. Since you’re doing research, do you work on improving an existing method of detection or work on a new one altogether?
[...] The Tooth Fairy a.k.a. Vasudha P got a brand new Dell Studio XPS AND completed a 100 posts. So go congratulate her. [...]

Tooth extraction? Ouch! It must have hurt, right? *hugs, kisses and panda bears*
The workshop! It will be sad to miss it.
Summer research! Yay! A reason to live! At least for the month of May! :D

Yes, it did hurt — that’s why I couldn’t talk for two days, love! :P
Yeah, I feel sad about the workshop. :(
Summer research totally rocks! Our guide is an awesome physicist! :)
