(My rueful heart is burdened)

Posted by: Vasudha on: April 4, 2007

My rueful heart is burdened,
I sigh the days away;
I wish undone that tide of execration.
But, I can’t go back that way.

Life is best lived by the heart
And, from heart Love only comes.
Hatred stems from incessant designs
Of the mind that after Evil runs.

In shame and regret burns my heart
In my dust, too, this flame shall be.
Shall I pass Eternity away in unceasing remorse?
My heart, will you not ever forgive me?
