Aham Brahmasmi

Posted by: Vasudha on: October 4, 2006

Vasudha Pande. That happens to be my name. Who am I? That’s what I am trying to find out.

I love to think. About what? Physics. Mathematics. Psychology. Philosophy. Life. Love. Music. Beauty. Truth. God.

I also love to write. Words are pretty things that are capable of evolving into wonderful symphonies, if composed with care.

Yes, but who exactly am I? Aham Brahmasmi.

Aham Brahmasmi is way of understanding the all mighty.It means that you are part of God.when you are free from all impurities of the world(maya) then you are God.

“God”??

How did you transform into an atheist?

I don’t mean to intrude or anything, but it’s interesting to see that in the backward progression of your writing you tend to get more mystical, and sometimes more fluent in terms of self expression. You’ve really changed over the years, and it’s really delightful to see some of the stages through your work.

You really are an amazing person take that from a complete stranger.

@Anuj

Gee, I had almost forgotten about what I had written in my first post! :D

I became an agnostic a few months after this was written, and later graduated to atheism. It was a long process — I must blog about it someday.

It’s surprising to learn that a stranger could figure out so much about me by reading a few blog posts! You seem to be quite an amazing person yourself, stranger.

Oh, I guess 2 years is a lot of time. Really your maturity is really surprising and heart warming. I am not kidding, or buttering you up, but it really is.

Good, at least you thought about the status quo, most of us live out our whole lives not realizing the atrocities around us it’s like Bob Dylan put it; ” ‘n’ how many times can a man turn his head, Pretending he just doesn’t see?” .

I really like your blog I’ve been reading it for a while now, and I simply love it. Trust me I can not know you as well as you think I do. At the end of the day no one will truly understand you save yourself, those who say they do are probably lying. I won’t lie to you, I’ve sorta come to admire you from your writings, and the way your mind works. It’s something very beautiful to me.

Trust me stranger that I am just another brick in the wall.
